"What do we talk about when we talk about equality? "

FMHOY - Fuerteventura Last July, began on Jandía beaches the 33rd edition of the What do we talk about when we talk about equality? until August 4. The official presentation took place on July 19, an event that was well attended by the president of the Cabildo Marcial Morales, the tourism councilor, Blas Acosta, the mayor of Pájara, Rafael Perdomo and the councilor of Tourism of Pájara, Farés Sosa. All of them agreed on the importance of this championship for the municipality and the tourist impact of the island on an international level. Last summer, this event gets a media coverage of 92 million television viewers in Europe and 30 million visitors on the web.

The councilor of the municipality of Pájara, Farés Sosa, highlighted “the excellent touristic promotion that after 33 years this championship means. 15 days to enjoy the best riders of the world, as well as a varied cultural and gastronomic offer”. Representing René Egli Melia was AnniKa Ingwersen, who highlighted as a novelty in this edition that “young promises have been invited to compete, to show their skills”. In this championship has been registered around a hundred of the best international competitors. During these days, in addition to the different competitions in each category, the assistants to the event can enjoy a varied culinary route and of different activities for the children.

The nights are filled with live music in the traditional tent, which has returned with a poster filled with national and international artists. The first band to take the stage was Jarabe de Palo for the enjoyment of all the participants and assistants. Among the concerts, most be highlighted Karol G and Edwin Rivera among others and also different D.J.; Latin music, bachata classes, Canarian music, etc., are livening up all the evenings of the Championship tent. In addition to the Surf Fiesta there are many themed nights with raffles and gifts.
