The Ayuntamiento receives over 270.000 Euros in Social Support from the Cabildo

The Ayuntamiento is receiving a total of 271.055,29 Euros in Social Support from Fuerteventura's Cabildo. The Ayuntamiento is still engaged in its commitment to support social initiatives, and caring for vulnerable people and families, and those funds will be destined to cover staff salaries, activities, emergency financial support and subsidies to entities of the Third Sector in Social Action. Furthermore, this agreement is destined to the programme of support for basic services of the Ayuntamiento's Social Services, which provide support in orientation, information, evaluation and diagnostic; reinforcing the service of intervention and of social, educational and psychosocial support, as well as the service of home help and supporting the service of management and processing of benefits.

 

The Ayuntamiento and the Canarian Government define the municipality's needs in the education sector

The Ayuntamiento's Education Councillor, Ángeles Acosta, accompanied the Education councillor for the Canarian Government, Poli Suarez, during his visit to the island of Fuerteventura. The objective of this encounter was to define the main necessities in the education sector for the municipality, such as school transport, shaded areas in schools and the IES La Lajita, amongst others. Pájara is the island's municipality that invests the most in education with 259 Euros per student, compared to the island's average of 100 Euros, according to the official data from the Ministry.

 

The Ayuntamiento starts the municipal asphalt plan in the town of Morro Jable

The Ayuntamiento has started the execution of the municipal Asphalt Plan in the town of Morro Jable, where they will renovate about 25 streets. The work has started in Barranco del Ciervo, and will last at least four months. The objective is to renovate the streets which need it the most.
